BTSS Christmas Party 2019 was a joyous occasion which saw a record turnout of more than 100 beneficiaries, volunteers and friends at KKH Staff Lounge on 14 Dec 2019. From 9 am, enthusiastic volunteers put up decorations and set up the tables and presents. We had 2 parallel events running – a children’s party that was led by the amazing volunteers from the NUS Community Service Club and the other by energetic Karishma who soon had everyone engaged and laughing together. A big THANK YOU to Disney Singapore for the generous donation of merchandise. Each child went home happily with a bag of surprises! Special thanks to Smyth, Nam and some volunteers who blessed gifts for everyone, including delicious home-baked cookies. It is so wonderful to see our BTSS family growing in size and even closer to each other as we work together on various programmes and advocacy projects for the betterment of our community.

The season of love and giving came early for 20 BTSS pediatric beneficiaries on 6th December. Volunteers from our corporate sponsor Morgan Stanley spent an afternoon playing Santa Claus and Santarina when they brought their young charge Christmas shopping at Vivocity. Each volunteer was paired with a beneficiary. Though it was the first time meeting the beneficiaries, the enthusiastic volunteers quickly won over the hearts of our beneficiaries. Knowing that their children were in good hands, our parents were able to relax during the shopping session. Faces of our kids beamed with delight as the volunteers indulged in their wishes. The group proceeded to Pizza Hut for food and drinks after the shopping. It was such a joy to see our beneficiaries interacting with the volunteers and amongst themselves. We hope the volunteers enjoyed themselves as much as our beneficiaries did. Thank you Morgan Stanley for spreading the Christmas cheer to us!
