Married for 30 years and blessed with two sons, Peter was shocked when his wife, Sindy was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Determined to maintain a positive outlook for the sake of his wife and children, Peter decided to attend regular support group meetings to learn how to be a proper caregiver for his wife.
Sindy fought hard, tackling each treatment and surgery with courage. Sadly, she passed away in March 2018, surrounded by family and friends. In dedication to his wife’s memory, Peter has continued to attend support group meetings so that he could provide the same support the group has provided to other caregivers struggling to care for their loved ones.
The journey of fighting and recovering from brain tumours is often an isolating one for patients and their families. If you know someone who needs support and advice from Brain Tumour Society Singapore (BTSS), please connect them to us.
Show your support for BTSS by coming down for our Brainy Car Rally on 21 October 2018. We have interactive games and booths for everyone! Attend this meaningful event to your friends and family, we hope to see you there!
